I first started listening to Cheese in 2002 but since Archive I've had access to more than a lifetimes SCI shows. But Jellyfish is of course fast and totally different than what we're used to, cuz no Kyle which brings me back to an interesting point. Great song.they borrowed this tune and made it into the jam in Voodoo Chile when SCI played it bluegrass style which they no longer do! Just when you thought this band couldn't have anymore tricks up their sleeve they do it! What? Bust out a Phish cover? YA RIGHT you ask!?! YES!!! SPARKLE!!! Great song and sung by tRaV! he goes on w/paul simon's late in the evening (not a big fan) but didnt take way from the show once shred (pun intended.gouda humor :-) Set 3 ends in what you could say is a modern manner with Land's End, How Mountain Girls Can Love, Jellyfish. Set 3: The guys at this wedding truly enjoyed SCI, they couldn't get enough! This set starts out with the acoustic Legends. Set 2: More of the Classics - John Hardy, Mouna Bowa, I Know You Rider, Born on the Wrong Planet, Blackberry Blossom look familiar? Well how about Svingin' with Svend, Temperance Reel, Yellowmoon? Lost there? Great Great Great songs! HIGHLIGHT: BILLY is the lead singer of BLACK CLOUDS!!!! This set left me amazed like I'd seen it all.but wait what about SET 3? Such a phenomenal song! Another highlight was Salt Creek, a tight gritty ditty! Got the crowd shakin! Sittin' is interesting here.starts out slow and swigin' then in the middle of the song they start over and play it in a fast bluegrass style! Chili Dawg done on the electric mando is nothing short of phenomenal followed immediately by Johnny Cash! Doesn't sound the same as when they choose to bust it out these days but it's great! Not a big fan of the ol' tune When Will I, don't miss it much either! Whiskey is in it's early stages but still got the crowd hoppin! My highlights of the first set were GINSENG SULLIVAN, an amazing bluegrass tune with great lyrics! I WILL PRAY TO THE GODS they bring this tune back into the rotation. Next comes a great dancin groovin Untold Stories sung by Keith. Set 1: Starts with a fun rendition of a Stanley Brothers tune Handsome Molly. The setting: a wedding party in way in Southwest Colorado, Billy starts by graciously thanking the hosts for letting them play. I'd say two thirds of the songs played here are no longer in SCI's rotation in the sets they play or have played in recent years. The wedding singer flac full#Talk about old school SCI! These three sets of this show are full of surprises, songs that are so rare and paint a picture of the seed of a legendary jam band. WOW! What a find?! Thank god for Archive!
